They need the security estate they already have to behave like one system. A large site runs dozens or hundreds of devices from different vendors, each with its own console, its own alerts and its own blind spots.
Sauron adds a common intelligence layer across them: ingesting authorised data at the edge, analysing it centrally, and correlating what it finds into events carrying enough context to act on. The operator stops watching feeds and starts working a queue.
